I'm not sure who requested pics on another one of my posts but I added 4 members to the pack yesterday morning at 4am. (I'm pretty sure that's the only time of the day puppies are born.) I was hoping for a boy but it turns out I was skunked with four little girls instead. In case you're thinking these are funny looking GSDs you'd be correct. They are papillon puppies. I'm really looking forward to seeing these guys grow up into killer little agility dogs.

To satisfy contracts and my sanity no. I will be keeping one. One to my bitches breeder, one to the sire's owner, and one misc one that I'll be sure to place with some lucky soul or possibly a family member who has been eyeing my dogs for years.
Looking at their pictures reminds me of something I learned from the Coppinger book a few years ago...that all canids at birth, regardless of breed/species, are indistinguishable. Take a new born baby wolf, GSD, Pap, etc., and you can't tell what they'll be when they get older. Well, your guys do have some color clues going on, but still...

This'll likely be the last update I put in this thread. The four girls have blossomed from little princesses into beacons of destruction and mayhem. No shoelace unchewed, no paper scrap unshredded. No mercy.
Rain will be the puppy staying with me from this litter. She hasn't decided if she's a phalene or a papillon yet. Either way I'm pretty pleased with her balance of type and personality so far.
River is the puppy that scares me half to death. She's by far the smallest puppy I've dealt with and at 8 weeks weighs just slightly over 1 lb. I'm expecting as an adult somewhere between 3-5lbs.
Autumn is my trouble maker. Her claim to fame so far is figuring out how to climb X pen walls straight up and over. She has teeth like needles and has figured out where to take out a 6'2" man at 7 weeks old by biting that spot just above the line between the sneaker and the bottom of the pants. Maybe she has aspirations to FR. She'll be joining a friend of mine for UKC and AKC events.
