What do you think of starting a list of foods not for dogs? I know there are some lists on other places but I think we could have a very comprehensive list here with so many people able to contribute?
How bad are Avocados? I added one that was getting old to my slop I mixed for tonight. I rarely give any veg. The mix is 3 eggs salmon oil kelp alfalfa cilantro broccoli Some large leafed lettuce and one avocado. For three dogs. Just put a little on all. Should I discard tonights dinner or be ok?

I've always gone by no avocado's but there is a dog kibble named Avoderm. Ingredients include 'avocado meal' and avocado oil. Anyone?
Mitch, unless you can pick out the avocado I would be on the safe side and toss it. Things like that aren't worth risking my dog's health.
Well crud....I pm'd Mitch on this so as not to open a whole can of worms.....
I used to add avocado to my veggie glop everytime I made it until I found out that they were not the greatest....and I have never had an issue with any of my 7 dogs that ate it.
I doubt that one avocado split between three dogs and missed in with a variety of other veggies is going to cause an issue.
And, not that I would use it, or promote it, but Avoderm has been around a long time and people must be feeding it since it is still around even though they say avocado is bad.
Not trying to start anything, just giving an option so that he does not have to waste food (money) for one ingredient.
