Ingrid Rosenquist Webboard User Reg: 03-01-2005 Posts: 1132 Loc: Offline	For those of you who edit video and upload to the web (like youtube), what software do you use? I have seen some great videos that have text intros and music etc. I have a Sony mini DVD camcorder and I use 321Soft DVD Ripper to convert it to an uploadable format but would love to splice videos/pics together and music etc :-) I have a PC laptop and would prefer software that does not break the bank ;-) Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated! http://www.psychtkennel.com

That's irrelevant, though, since you said you have a Sony. You can look through Download.com for some free video editing software. Like Matthew said, some of the programs that aren't free do have a free trial. They've actually got Movie Maker rated low. Might be worth trying one of the free ones they have rated higher.

If you do end up getting something and need to learn it you might want to check out http://www.lynda.com they offer vido tutorials to lean the software. You can subscribe for $20 bucks a month but it's worth it if you have to learn something new.
