Ok so in light of ike no job for me anymore.

My husband is still working but I was working for a vet. Until we had a meeting she is closing her practice due to money issues.

and my transmission desided to go out last week. I have not been there for 6 months so unemployment is out of the question.

I get 1 month of pay after next week but only at 20 hours a week.
I will start looking for a job but its hard as we are still rebuilding on the island.

I need help finding a good kibble that i can get for 20 bucks a month I buy a 30 pound bag for phoenix and bruiser right now it is costing me 40 for prarie.
This is what I know from when they where on kibble.

I know eds list But I was wondering what the price points I could look at.

The pet shop I go to has all these foods.
But they are very pricy.

I like chicken soup brand, my dogs have done well on it and it is really reasonable for a better brand of food.

I pay about 25 for a 30 lb bag.

Sorry to hear about your job. I have fed Nutro Natural, Chicken Soup & Royal Canin in the past. You can buy those brands at the pet store

Stephanie, I'm so sorry for all you have gone through this year. All I can say is, we all do the best we can for our dogs. No one can ask more than that of anyone. If the best you can do right now, for the time being, is cheap crap in a bag, so be it. Your dogs will live for a time on anything, no problem. Heck, I know dogs that live faily long lives on old roy.... Until you get on your feet, don't beat yourself up. Buy what you can afford, and look to the future. Things will get better, and then you can change back to the best for your dogs.

Natural balance is about the cheapest you'll find and is a halfway decent food, it's in the rotation of stuff I'm willing to feed my dogs. We had a sale the other week at work and it was the first time I've seen chow as low as 1.25 a pound in a long time. Right now a 5lb bag of the normal ultra is 5.99.

Sorry about your job. Times are rough everywhere. I just had my hours cut myself last week due to declining sales.

They also get one vitamin E capsil 200
And omega fish oil How ever many squirts to there weight.

And a chicken leg when I fry or cook chicken.
Raw of course

And ground turckey every day for lunch.
I buy the roles from the store its 1.29 a pound of ground turckey just for them.

There is also fish meal in that food. So there are 2 protein sources, chicken/eggs and fish.

No byproducts, corn, soy or wheat - good! First 2 ingredients are meat. Also good.

There are a LOT of grains in this food (the first 6 ingredients, 4 are grains). Also, I am NOT a fan of beet pulp in food but it seems like it is really hard nowadays to find food without it.

This is not a terrible food at all. Not the absolute top of the market, but not bad either. And you can't beat the price, and since you have been through hurricane Ike, I know you are trying to save money, I'd say this is probably one of the best for the money.

Edited to add: Orijen is an excellent food, it is what I feed my dogs. It has no grains and is 70% meat. The one I buy has chicken, turkey, eggs, and fish. If that is in your price range I recommend it, however here I spend about $85 for the biggest bag. If you can get it in your price range go for it. Otherwise, the one you posted above is OK.

Natural Balance is good for the money, but honestly, I was surprised to find out that Kirkland's Signature puppy or adult is really not too terrible FOR THE MONEY. We're talking about a temporary situtaion. It's $22 for 40lbs...not bad at all! No by-products, no corn, wheat, soy, etc. The puppy formula has very similar ingredients but higher protein and fat, which I like, generally speaking. It's worth joining Costco if they have it nearby, especially if you have several dogs.
