Here in NM where CCW is 4-5 years old the only "incident" was when a retired hospital equipment engineer shot and killed a man who was stabbing his wife in a wal-mart where she worked.
Bad guys zero CCW one.
Too bad the rest of the story is the wife has filed a law suit against the good Samaritan who saved her life.
Moral of the story is that not only do our CCW laws need to be revamped so does our civil litigation rules. In the interim, make sure you have insurance to cover your actions.
Well, I'm proud to say I live in the state where the CCW began. As a pilot program, Florida has become the standard from which all the other states compare to when they decide to go with the CCW.
No, the streets do not run red with blood...nor have I seen OK corral style shootouts like the fear mongering gun grabbers wanted everyone to believe. Yes, there has been a huge reduction in crime. Australia and the UK, are you listening?
I always love to hear LEO that are pro CCW for good citizens. Surprisingly there are a lot of Pro CCW LEO here in CA, it is the legislatures that mess everything up here =p.
Everyone should try to be as good as their dog thinks they are.
Sounds good. I will be going to the link to support concealed carry.
I agree with other posters who have seen it in their communities. It will NOT create a old school violent salon atmosphere, people need to be able to protect themselves.
When I was living in CO, we also had CCW. Because I wasn't in L.E. when it happened, and have no current statistics, I can not compare crime rates before CCW to crime rates after CCW. Name and vehicle clearances alerted me to CCW owners. And besides, good people having CCWs didn't randomly pull them out on L.E. so I didn't have an increased fear of getting shot, just the normal fear I have that keeps me on my toes. Nevertheless, I agree with CCW. In WI, there are no CCWs allowed except for current L.E. and some retired L.E. I think it is a travesty... Thank goodness I am moving back to CO.
