Does anyone watch that show? They picked up 2 GSD puppies this week (filmed in December 2008 I think). Looks like they got a male and female from the same litter.

I don't usually watch it but saw the title "Puppies" so there was no choice. They also said they don't know any thing about dogs. I think they are in for some surprises down the line. The puppies were picked up a few weeks before Christmas and the show date was 2009, so, I think you are right Keith.

Yup, I watched the episode for the exact same reason.
Saw soooooooo many things wrong (even from the breeder) that I wanted to scream!!! Selling 2 littermates to one family was the first thing.
Plus telling them they could take the puppies home that day, even though they (the family) already admitted they weren't ready for them, wrong!
Both adults admitting they had no idea about raising a dog, so they go and get 2 of them.
If the mother already has reservations about the pups and they are only 8 weeks (im assuming they are that old)i hate to see her after the pups settle in and even more puppy behaviour comes out. From what I can gather the mother is a neat freak and was already complaing about dog hair, shedding, drooling etc.
anyone care to place a bet how long they have the dogs?
Im betting not long!!
Im sure i'll tune the show in a few months from now and the dogs will be no where to be seen.

Kate is a bit high-strung to begin with..and seriously, who could blame her with all those kids...but I think 2 pups may push her right over the edge.
They did mention they have crates, so that's good, I guess.
I think the better bet would be how long will it take before Cesar makes a visit?

Even as fearless as he is, that house might scare him.

yes they did mention crates, but I didn't see them at all.
but I guess they didn't have time to get any because they weren't prepared for the puppies.
All I saw was a makeshift corral made of baby gates.
And kate is SERIOUSLY high strung!
I couldn't spend 5 minutes with her.
I feel sorry for her husband.
and off topic, but does anyone else think the first twin girls (can't remember their names) are horrible! Sorry, but the way they speak to the parents and how they act and throw temper tantrums over the littles things is awful.
I know when I was that age, if my parents told me I was getting a puppy for chirstmas I wouldn't be whining about not being able to pick the name, and if i did the first thing the would have come out of my dad's mouth would've been, fine...then how about no dog at all!

Well, I haven't seen them, but if I had that many siblings added after me, I'd be PO'd too.
Heck, I was first of "only" seven and pretty irritated that they kept on arriving.

I really wanted to see that after seeing the commercial! Was like..hey those are gsd's! Wait a minute...all those kids and they are getting TWO!? I missed it though, completely forgot about it. Grr.
I want to see those pups at about 4-6 months bowling over kids and nipping. I know mine is so sensitive to petting right now you simply can't do it alot due to overload. Kind of like Ed's Dayma in one of his videos..think it was basic OB, one pet sent her into a frenzy. I couldn't imagine her surrounded in children petting her to jumping, biting, tackling insanity.

LOL...The whining about the name didn't surprise me. That seemed pretty normal given their age and the fact they're girls.
Yeah, I think it would be difficult living in the shadow of all those sibs. The parents do a pretty good job of managing the mayhem. I can't imagine trying to do the same. I find the program is a great sleep aid: I'm so exhausted watching them I have no trouble falling asleep.

Maybe Ed will make a visit to their house
I like how the girl pup was peeing in the house with the first 2 minutes
As anal as Kate it, she should be fine once they get a schedule in place. They already mentioned that the little kids are getting nipped and their toys are getting chewed up.
I think the older girls act out for some attention; it must be hard to compete with 7 siblings. I think anyone’s kids could look terrible if you catch the right/wrong 2 minutes on tape.
