One of my dogs is constipated. I had a pack of pork neck bones that I gave to them for a couple days since it was going to get old and I think it was too much bone for him. Noticed last night his Poo was kinda light colored and crumbly looking and this morning he came in and keep walking with his rear down and trying to lick his back end - I tried to look at his rear and its alittle red probably where he been licking. I dont think anyting came out this morning and at lunch when I went home he tried again and one lil piece came out. I know pumpkin is good for the runs but not sure about what to give to soften it.

Pumpkin will work for constipation too.
Fiber's good that way--it holds moisture in poop, whether it's needed to asbsorb extra water, or hold onto it.
Any fiber will do. Pumkin's easy and convenient (already cooked and pureed for you.) But green beans will work too. Or even psyllium husks (like in metamucil--but find plain, without sugar if you try psyllium)
