Now that Storm is almost 3 and my bitch is fairly elderly, I was considering finding a pup later this year / next year. His breeder has mated Storm's Mother to his 'great-uncle' - I am now considering this litter (for a bitch pup).
Storm's working ability is top-notch and he is a great all round dog. I was wondering how similar the new pup would be, would it be a good idea to go for a dog from the same lines or stick with my original plan and get a dog from other working lines.

Should probably mention that I plan to do Schutzhund (or Working Trials) with new pup. Storm excelled in training, great bitework from day one, good tracking ability etc.

Unfortunately these pups fell through.
But...
Then I was told about another litter from a well-respected bloke in the UK. He breeds for Work / Schutzhund only and I have met several of his dogs at trials.

Hampshire police have a dutch shepherd - great dog.
Maybe in a few dogs time, from what I hear they are hard work. I would rather take on a high-drive GSD that I can handle, rather than risk taking on something I cannot handle at this stage.
Thanks for thinking of me John. Nice looking pups.
Oh I forgot to mention the sire is sch 3 too.
