Yesterday our 8 year old Shepherd started doing something odd. After a yawn he chatters his teeth in a cycle of two or three times. I did a google search and only found one discussion board talking about this.
When he sniffs or licks female urine his jaw will also have a slight chatter with a little drool. This is not the same symptoms.
We have a vet appointment at 11:30 but I thought I would just throw it out there and see if anyone else has suggestions.
We were able to get a short video clip of him chattering and it is being sent off the University of Missouri. The vets at our hospital have not seen this type of chattering and are consulting the Neurological department.
