I just want to know what else I can do when I'm walking my dog. I have a black lab, 9months old. I listened to Ed Frawley's suggestion of using the command "slow" and giving slow tug back towards me. He seems to listen but as soon as I praise him, he is right back out in front trying to pull a bit. He is not pulling me to the extent of over powering me, but enough to make me want to keep on telling him to go slow. I just want him to walk calmly with me. Any other suggestions? Should I just keep on doing this? When should I give firmer corrections? Should I have been doing that all along? Thanks!
