If you know what this is please dont tell anyone. I am looking for a good but cheaper alturnative for a good food for my mother she is old and found a dog on the streets that she is keeping.

I will say this food is new on the market and I love them so far from what I have seen the price point is great also.

I don't know the brand, so I'm just going by what you posted.

This food is VERY grain-heavy (there is more grain than anything else in the food), and has beet pulp (a cheap filler) but appears to at least be free of by-products.

Do you have any alternatives to this food at the same price point, to compare it with?

I know what brand it is, and I'm not at all clear how the name alone would deter people .... ?

I've certainly seen much worse, but I agree with Angela: it does have FOUR grains in the top six positions.

I agree too that if you have others in the same price range, post them too and we can compare.

I have been doing some research on different brand but the only thing in the same price point is nutro and nature balence and food like that.

This is the pet food store I am buying this food from. I have shopped there sense I found leerburg. He is a great guy I know his website is not much but thats what he has in stock. so those are my choices for my other in a sense cause he is the only natural pet food store for over 75 miles.

I get a 35 pound bag of food for 25 this is from witch is above.

Stephanie, if you can post the ingredients for the other two foods I'll be glad to give you my reviews! (I'm not as experienced as Connie is but I have read a lot). Hopefully Connie will help too.

Is the grain-free "Surf n Turf" one of the cheap ones, too? It does have more potato than I'd like, but I think it looks pretty good. Better than Nutro, too.

yes it has a good price point all the fromms do at least at floppy pets

Remember that a variety is a good thing. That is, if you find two or three good reasonably-priced ones, you could feed one one day and one the next or combine two or anything else you like, to give a much better, varied diet.

Dogs who are upset by changes in food are almost always dogs who are fed the same thing every day for loooong periods and then switched.
