My GSD female has started a new trend (she seems to do something new every week). any way, she'll go crazy, barking and jumping and running around if me and my girlfriend hit each other! well on that note let me state that i'm a MMA(mixed martial arts) fighter, and my girlfriend is great on letting me practice on her and show her how to defend her self. or just smacking her butt or vice versa the dog reacts to the slap noise or if we start to grapple standing up. she wont get crazy if we hug though or if it doesn't seem to be an act of violence. and the reaction isn't at me or my girlfriend like to attack one of us. kinda like she just wants to distract us. any ideas to what she is doing and why?
Brian My question is "What does that has to do with Obedeince training"? Shouldn't this be under Aggression toward humans or General Conversation?
It just sounds like she doesn't like you two striking or grappling each other, alot dogs will get in between the players/couples or try to herd you by barking and pushing, you part. Some will jump right in the middle of the play fight.
I don't know man, but I always make sure there are no dogs around when I grapple with my gf
I don't think it belongs in the herding thread Don.
I kind of thought this was supposed to be a given? Dogs with protective instincts don't like BS. Don't mess with the GF in front of the dog. Some dogs will bite you, others will just warn the heck out of you.
i just put it out there. it really dosen't bother us.it was just weird that all of a sudden she started yappin'!
but herding Don? i thought of where i should post this question and this was the best option i found. cause the dog isn't aggresive to us. she never touches us. but i dig your bluntness!
yea mike i think i'll take your route!
and thanx for the over all advice Deanna.
