Well, I messed up. I bought some beef liver for Keiko last week. She was having great poops, so I decided to introduce the liver to her. Not thinking, I gave her a piece of the beef liver that was much too big (about 2 oz). That promptly caused digestive upset which resulted in diarrhea and vomit (just after that meal).
I fasted her a day, giving her only a few spoonfuls of probiotic yogurt. I fed chicken RMBs yesterday which she ate slowly but she still has diarrhea. Again, I think I moved too fast on that and need to take a step back and reintroduce raw more slowly. Runs aside, she is active and trained and fetched as eagerly as usual today. I'll be buying some kaopectin (Pet Pectillin from PetSmart) for the diarrhea. I'm also going to get some canned pumpkin and rice.
Will this be an OK diet to get her system back to normal:
kaopectin as instructed.
1 tsp - 1 tbsp Canned pumpkin (depending on tolerance)
Boiled rice
Boiled ground beef
In what proportions should I feed the rice and ground beef? (For a size reference, she's about 27 lbs.)
Also, I could get chicken breast but I have ground beef on hand and would prefer to use that if it will work.

ETA: The piece of beef liver was more like 1-2 oz (still too much). I knew the strip weighed about 4 oz and I cut a piece off of that. I broke my scale the other day so don't have an exact weight.

I'm haven't used kaopectin, so won't comment there. I know someone will.
Ground beef will work, but boiled, white meat chicken would probably have even less fat and possibly be easier on her inflamed gut.
I'd probably feed her about a cup of rice multiple times a day. Just small meals like that.
This isn't a diet to really sustain her, so ratio isn't important for this short term fix. Make it mostly the overcooked white rice with enough meat in there to keep her interested.

Ditto on the skinless white chicken. And ditto that the binding quality of the overcooked rice is the focus here.
About the Kaopectin:
Does Kaopectin contain the same antacud (bismuth subsalicylate) as Kaopectate? Or ANY antacid? I don't give anything that alters the stomach acid to a raw-fed dog.

Reading again, for a 30 lb. dog, it wouldn't hurt to make the meals smaller than a cup. If she needs more food, make it up in another meal.
I just like to err on the side of 4-5 tiny meals vs. 2-3 bigger ones.

I don't believe there is an antacid in the anti-diarrheal (which contains kaolin & pectin). I did see mention of trying to avoid antacids in old posts. The ingredients in the kaopectin are as follows:
Citric acid, cranberry powder, glycerine, natural flavoring, potassium sorbate, purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose and sorbitol.
I'll have to pick up some sliced chicken breast. I made a few cups of overcooked rice and offered her a small amount earlier...do you think I should go ahead and add a small amount of pumpkin or boil a small amount of ground beef (until I can get chicken breast) to make it a little more palatable for what I give her tonight? Or should I just try and get her to eat a small amount of the rice alone?
I was planning on waiting to introduce meat back into the diet until Saturday or until tomorrow night if I see a better looking poop tonight/tomorrow morning. But, I don't know how much of the mushy rice she'll eat by itself.

I went ahead and fed the kaopectin, along with 1/2 cup of mushy rice and a couple spoonfuls of probiotic yogurt.
I'll be watching stools closely and hopefully we'll see some improvement in the morning.

... along with 1/2 cup of mushy rice ....
The mushy rice was acceptable? That's good, because really, that's what you want the dog to eat, to get the benefit of rice's binding qualities. I've made it with no-salt chicken broth to make it more palatable, and I've added a bit of chicken if necessary, but as Michael says, I'm not trying to make a balanced diet; I'm trying to soothe an inflamed gut. And when you have a history of perfect poops, then you want to re-introduce the regular food on a very-small-meal basis. The gut will deal far better with frequent small meals.
All of this is better slow and gradual; a ping-pong back to inflammation and diarrhea will just make the gut more irritated than it was when this started.
Keep us posted!

The mushy rice was acceptable? Yep! She licked the bowl clean. I think the probiotic yogurt I added may have helped a bit with the palatability; she's a pretty big fan of it.
Thanks for the help and I'll definitely keep you posted!

Update:
Stool this afternoon looks DRASTICALLY better! Much more solid and log-like for the most part. It's a much bigger improvement than I expected so soon! I'll give one more dose of the kaopectin tonight and then transition to using pumpkin for the firming properties. I think I'll wait until Saturday night or Sunday to add meat, depending on what her stool looks like.
