My fifteen year old son decided late last night that jumbo shrimp and cocktail sauce would be a great midnight snack while playing "Call of Duty" into the wee hours of the morning. Well he didn't close the bag tight and I pulled it out to make dinner and I dumped over a pound of pre cooked jumbo shrimp on the kitchen floor. I had the kids pick it all up and I figured "my dogs like to eat bugs, and shrimp is nothing more than a sea going cockroach....." The question is can they safely eat shrimp and how much would be too much?

I was shelling butter clams and thought what the heck... shelled one. Plopped it in a dog dish and handed it to the wonder lab who was known to eat bits of concrete if some food residue had been slopped on it. She sniffed.... licked.... picked it up... spit it out like it was made of bitter apple and barked at it like some kind of alien entity. One of my best raw food moments ever.

ANY time one of mine spits out food is a momentous occasion, and yes, clams and shrimp meat fell into that category.
