I haven't been on the forums for awhile but I wanted to post that my Bruno, only 6 years, passed away last Monday from Hemangiosarcoma. I am still reeling from this. If I could just wake up from this nightmare?! He was only 6! I tried to take care of him the best way I could and don't understand how this happened. He was fed an all natural diet and given so much love. I am really struggling and just wanted to vent to people who would understand how deep this cuts. It just happened 3-29-10 and people are asking "are you doing better today?" Like a matter of a few days is gonna heal my broken and shattered heart. I know these people only mean well and I'm not mad at them. I am just mad in general about this. I cannot stand coming home to.....nothing.

We won't say anything like that, believe me.
I am so sorry.
Would you like to post a link to some photos? I'd love to see Bruno's pictures, and I know others would too.
I hope you realize that nothing you did could have contributed to this heartbreaking disease. In fact, I'd bet that you extended the length of healthy time he had, Lori, with your great care of him.
Lori I know that nothing we say can make it better... But you gave Bruno a wonderful, loving life. I am sure he died a happy and fufilled fellow and he is now in peace. Bruno would want you to keep truckin' on and living life to the fullest. I am so sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for your loss!! Six is too young! But there is never an acceptable age to lose a well loved family member. What a beauty Bruno was. Don't beat yourself up over things you had no control over. Look at those pictures and see his happiness. No wonder Bruno thought you were perfect; that was your doing.
Lori,
I lost the best dog I've ever had to this terrible disease. Also very young, nine years.
Having the misfortune of been there there's few words of comfort I can offer other than; I doubt he would have been happier anywhere else for his allotted time.
Remember him as he was, he'll be waiting for you when that time comes.
Yes, I'm sure.
