I am a trainer and would like to enter the world of detection training....mostly bio detections. Most of the seminars and courses are focused on narcotics, arson, etc. Is it safe to assume that the training methodologly is the same for all areas and the odors themselves are what you interchange?

Basically, training detection only differs in the odors and/or the response that might be trained. Depending on the type of dog you train, deployment might be significantly different. For example, training a dog to respond to a drug odor v. an explosive odor is virtually the same process. The method of deployment, however, can be significantly different.
