Well here is our little 9 week old puppy Astro out in the yard today.
He is doing real good with basic commands. I am not giving him any corrections other then a verbal "no" when working on his commands. He is taking to treat and marker training really nice.
He walks on a leash pretty good and seem so/so with both his food drive and prey drive.
So, any bets on how big he will get. He is 9 weeks old and about 11-13 pounds and 11 inches tall.
I am thinking he will be in the 30 pound range and maybe knee high. What do you guys think?
All I know is he is darn tootin cute! Very cute pup. What is he mixed with?
His Mom is pure bred JRT. Kind of on the large side for a female JRT. But, comes with all the wonderful JRT features that make you want to pull your hair out. Hahaha.
Dad is a Husky on the small side. Kind of ugly too. Imho....
I hope he gets big enough for some Agility work. I would like to see how well his nose works too.
Some on and off lead OB and maybe bring him to some old peoples care centers and let him put a smile on their faces.
Oh and if he is fast enough maybe I can have him work some horses. =) The horses already hate me. I might as well give them another good reason. LOL.
Heh, All I have to say is TRICKS! He's gonna have you on your toes and runnin'. My father-in-laws gf has a jrt mix. Oh my lanta she's a little pistle! Shes fast and LOVES to jump. Tricks, tricks, tricks. Your gonna have fun with that one.
