I know this is a dog forum and this can be deleted. However I have two kittens that were found and given to me this morning. We have looked on the internet for formulas but are not sure what to give them. I have a little kitten milk formula but they refuse to eat it. It might be old and maybe that is why. Can puppy formula milk work for kittens? I don't have a place I can get new kitten milk but I can get puppy milk... Suggestions ??? They are a week old or less.
I don't know. It is a liquid in a box. I just don't want them to die and they have not eaten all day and I am told they didn't eat yesterday. I think it is a puppy milk from pedigree which I know is not a good one but until I can find something better...

If it's powdered or canned formula you need kitten formula not puppy formula. I've never heard of anyone trying the goat milk formula on this site for kittens. I'm not sure it would work.
If they didn't eat yesterday, and haven't eaten yet today, I'd be more worried about getting something into them, then what that was. Even if it was just water. I'd try the puppy formula or even just regular milk. Then once they have some fluids and calories to keep them going for a little while, I'd either find a recipe for kitten milk replacement online, or find something in a store. Our local grocery stores carry kitten formula. A vet should have something also. I wouldn't feed them puppy formula long term, I don't think it will have the right combination of vitamins and minerals, but it will at least keep them alive until you can find something more suitable.
If they haven't eaten in over 24 hours you may have to do some sub-q fluids if they won't eat, to hydrate them. And a swipe of Karo syrup in the mouth should give them an energy boost, enough to be able to eat. Otherwise you might have to tube feed them. Babies at that age will fade VERY fast, 24 hours without eating and they are probably already part way out the door.
If they are old enough that their eyes are open I would get some goat milk and use it. It is way cheaper than formula and works fine. I have raised half a dozen litters of kittens in the two and three week range with it.
If they have teeth, soften some kibble or sop out some canned with goat milk and offer that too.
If their eyes are still closed...go with Kitten formula for a week or two, then go with goatmilk. Messing with other milks will upset their digestion, dehydrate them with diarrhea and stress them.
Update with the two kittens ... They have been eating now after I went and bought karo and goat milk powder. We mixed it up with some other things and I got up to feed them in the night a few times. They seem to be doing ok for now. There is no vet I can go to here. Goat milk was hard enough to find and $$! Zuki is crazy about them... Never seen her so excited about any kind of cat- kittens.
