Lots of people train their dogs as guard dogs, that is no corruption.
However, it may be that the lower level of gang member may not be training correctly, it seems like it takes a lot of time and thought to train the right way.
They may be ending up with some kind of volatile fear biter and not a true, solid guard dog. If so, I feel sorry for the dogs, they probably don't have a very happy life.

Most of these were not guard dogs. They were guarding the gangs' drugs but mainly it was about dog fighting. It focused on gangbangers and one prison gang. The saddest part for me was an officer holding and petting a pit. She said she souldn't understand why anyone would fight these dogs. She said they fight the APBT because they are fiercley loyal. She'd seen many fight videos where the dogs would be down bleeding with broken legs and the owner says,"C'mon baby"in a sweet "doggy" voice, pats the dog and the tail will wag and the poor thing will get it self up and continue to fight for it's owner. Also said they are going for a bigger dogs and breeding cano precarios with APBT. There is a promising program in Chicago called End dogfighting (Humane Society). Two other major cities have begun the program and they hope to expand. Educates potential gang dog owners and helps them train their dogs. Worth the watch kind of sad though.

Lucille, you aren't really that naive,are you? The dogs being talked about here are not being trained as proper guard dogs. They are being taught through cruel and viscious methods to attack, not just other dogs but any person that happens to come into the territory.
