Drift took her TDI certification test last night. She passed with a flawless routine. Honestly, I could not have been more proud of her. The evaluator wrote "Excellent Dog" in the comment section at the bottom of the test sheet
So, Little Drifty Dog is now officially a TDI therapy dog. I just have to get the 5 pounds of paperwork in....

What are you going to be doing with that fancy new title?
Drift went to work today as usual, and did her thing with our clients They were just as proud of her as I was when I told them how she did. One of the younger girls made her a new "collar" that she got to wear around for a while.
Oh, we all feasted on doughnuts to celebrate... the kids LOVED that!!!
Rumor has it Drift could not be more proud of you either! Her report on you said "excellent human" Congratulations!! What an accomplishment.
Funny, the look on her face said "where the heck is dinner???"
I think we have come a long way since the filming of the marker DVD where she wouldn't even listen to me!! We have BOTH learned SOOOOOO much from Ed and Cindy and members of this forum! I think it was a TEAM effort!!!
I have tried several different activities with Drift. We have done Agility which she did but didn't really get in to. We did Rally where she did better than Agility, but didn't really love it. Then I took her to work and she did SOOOO great with the kids that I knew this is what she wanted to do. Take it from someone in the "what NOT to do" section of one of Ed's DVDs If you find the right motivation and establish a great bond with your dog, NOTHING can ever stop you!!!
I am a much better person for having my dogs in my life, and I am a much better trainer for having my experiences at Leerburg and being able to interact with great trainers like Ed and Cindy and Michael Ellis. Without all of them and their knowledge, I really don't know where I would be right now.
I truly feel honored to call Ed and Cindy and SOOO many of the members of this forum FRIENDS. Thank you all for your support and guidance. We really couldn't have done it without all of you!!!!
Oh, and more Drift Therapy updates to come soon!!!!
