Hi all! This is my first post on the boards My husband and I are going to be switching our dogs to a raw diet soon and I'm trying to figure out how long the Super C will last? All I can tell is that the container is 16 oz (I'm guessing by weight?) So I don't know how many teaspoons I'll actually get out of the container? We just don't want to order too much and have it go bad or not order enough and have to re-order in like a week!
Can anyone help me with this?
You don't *have* to have a vitamin C supplement just because you are starting a raw diet. I've noticed that a lot of people new to raw feeding think it is a "must have supplement" for a raw diet.
If you do want to make it an addition to your dog's future diet, don't add it right in the beginning. If you give too much, it can be a trigger for diarrhea. No need in complicating the menu in the beginning. You can always add it in later once your dog is fully switched to a raw diet.
Salmon oil, or any other fish BODY oil, and vitamin E are supplements that would be beneficial to add to ANY diet. I would consider them must haves.
