For Christmas, Frost got a new obedience competition collar. I just got it yesterday and it is awesome! It was made by Andrea whose website is http://www.dogs-art.net - She has dobermans that she does Schutzhund with and is really easy to work with. Not to mention fast! She made and shipped my collar the day after I ordered it.
Yes Betty, the skull and crossbones was a symbol of the SS albeit a skull and crossbones that looks NOTHING like this. Particularly given the fact that this design has an EYEPATCH over the skull. The skull and crossbones was also the symbol used on the flag commonly known as the Jolly Roger and is commonly used as a symbol for danger/poison: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skull_and_crossbones
Honestly, the skull and crossbones symbol is more associated with pirates and poison than it is with the SS. When the Anti-Defamation League comes after me as a racist for having a skull and crossbone collar on my dog I will perhaps rethink the matter.

Yes, it is leather and webbing :-) Let me tell you how much angst I had over using black webbing or red webbing :-p She has several ribbon, webbing, and leather choices (not to mention collar styles) and you just pick out what you like and she puts it together. I believe that it you have ribbon that you want used in a style she does not have, you can send it to her and she will put a collar together for you with that ribbon as well.
