I am thinking of adding a Leerburg video to my Christmas list. Can't decide between Basic obedience and the marker dvd. Any preferences or pros and cons to either one?
Thanks for your help!
Where are you as far as training with your dog? What have you done so far and what are your goals? Maybe then some folks who are familiar with those dvds can chime in and help you figure out which one would help you most.

I used to ask that most noob owners whose dogs I worked with watch Basic Ob. Now I kinda think that 219 informs just about all the other DVDs, including Basic Ob. Basic Ob has marker training in it, but the great solid grounding from 219 makes Basic Ob all the more valuable. JMHO. And my third choice for almost anyone would be 220.
For someone with a good understanding of marker training, it would probably be Basic Ob and 220.
I have a 2 year old GSD and a 1 year old mutt along with ever rotating foster dogs. I bought a book about clicker training and semi started with my GSD but then got frustrated because I don't think I full understand it and was frustrated because he just sat there and stared at me.
For the service dog school I am going from the establishing pack structure video to the marker one, then the two ME ones on food and tug.
Cindy was nice enough to chat with me about it via email and recommended this course to me.
The reasoning is that I and any other trainer working with the organization will have a strong background in OB, but the Marker training...especially since it isn't regular clicker training....was more involved and thus more in need of video help.
From what she said in the emails, look where your strongest weakness is and get the video for that weakness.
if it were me, I would go for the 3 DVD box set....Product #4013
