Since I have place Harley in a box to keep him from getting in the horse feed one of the cat find in to be a perfect game to attack the poor dog.
Harley was getting very good at not chasing the cats but now the cat will jump on him so I can't espect him not to chase the cat?
The cat will also push Dexter out of his barn bed. Today the cat swat a coming 3 yo stallion from his hay. The stud got and tossed him, he came back.
The cat is 4 months old just got fix. Is it just a kitten thing or is he just a wack job. The cat does not come in the house. He will also chase a drag ling on the dog or a horse tail.
At this point I think he may get killed by a horse or Harley. Harley has not much drive for the other 3 cats. Stop dead in his track with a simple no.
Any idea on how to deal with my kitten?

What kind of box? You mean like a loose box for a horse?
What is Dexter? Dog? Cat? Horse?
I'm not much of a cat person, but I would probably make this one a housecat. It sounds to me like all these things could end in disaster, and not just for the cat.
But others will have much more cat-knowledge.

Dexter is my other dog with very little drive if any. Yes I used a horse box were the dogs have their beds in, for when they are in the barn with me.
The cat is not welcome in the house as the boy friend is allergic to cats. The cat (just 4 months)is a great mousser and does get birds from the riding arena rafters.
His full brother same age is just a lovely cat.

Tough barn cats are great, but I don't really like cats. they are like a weasel IMO. Our last great one lived 11 yrs, would swipe at the bulls. Keeps the sparrows under control in the barn, eliminates rodents. I'd make it a warm place up high where the dog can 't get at it, feed it a little up high too, just a little, want it to hunt for sport,(in barn) field mice are easier to find, if barn cats are super hungry they hunt in fields instead.
He's probably not wanting to attack your dog, just wants to lie on his warm bed.

He has the hay and shaving stack same temperature as the barn, a warm tack room with cat beds and the feed and storage room with the cat food in. All those place are not allowed for the dogs!
I love cats in the barn! He can bugg the older cats too

Barn cats IMO have to be vaccinated for rabies, I know many folks are not into vaccine on this forum for pets, that's cool, each to their own, but in our state (Minnesota) there have been 8 barn cats this year with rabies, something to consider if a cat suddenly becomes incredibly aggressive. The last cat had bitten a dog, a horse and an owner before suspicions were raised. It had been seen feeding on a deer carcass with a skunk a month earlier.

Yes, if he's a barn cat he should be vaccinated for rabies at least.
It really sounds as if it's his age. If you're there and he starts to annoy the dog it's perfectly ok to let him know this behavior is unacceptable by shooing him away. I'd be leary of permitting the dog to chase him since the dog would not distinguish chasing him and chasing other cats. The cat will eventually settle down as he gets a bit older. Either that, or one of the horses will have kicked him into eternity. Most cats do learn first.

Ok all cats are up to date on any shots for any thing that can be transmitted to horses or dogs. I am not a cat person but love my animals. He just got fix 2 weeks ago. He is more crazy since.
He is a big 6.5lb at the moment and has taken down a pigeon from the rafters in the riding arena!
I will call the ladies who adopted the 3 other femals to see if there is ant wild one.
I found them at 1 week old in a load of kicker loaded hay. So they were bottle feed.
Maybe it is the name, he is named after Iron Maiden beast Eddie, the other one is civilized and named Ozzy

If he's different after the castration it could be the anaesthesia. We used to use a drug called Ketamine in cats, it's very safe, but it is strong hallucinogen. Occasionally people would come pick up their cat, then a few days later return to the clinic and say, "This LOOKS like my cat, but it's not."
