This is the strangest thing. .
While at the vet I mentioned that Jeter has what seems like involuntary urinating. He's fine overnite and during the day (8 hrs) but when he's with me laying down on the couch or in the bed there's urine spots/puddles when he gets up. The vet did all the tests for urinary or bladder infections and everything was negative.
If he can hold it during the day and while sleeping at night then I'm thinking it's not physical. He goes out every 20 minutes and goes like his bladder is always full. He can lay down right after going out and be fine. If it'd been more than 20 minutes or so he leaves urine where he lays. Any thoughts?
Can incontinence be that selective to not exhibit itself all day until Alec gets home?
I bet he's leaving those same small wet spots... but they dry before they are noticed!
To make sure there is NO doubt of it being a wet spot from licking, do the sniff test. Sucks, but more accurate then 'looks like urine'.
What SPECIFIC tests did the vet run? (Some are more accurate/through then others) Was any blood work done? I'd want to run a TBF (Total Body Function) to eliminate any other underlying issues.
He's pretty young for incontinence issues, but ya never know.
Didn't know he was crated... thats a good point... heheheh.
Dogs kidneys/Urinary tract are still functioning, even when they don't have access to water. It takes some time to process food/water and get it all cleared out.
