I had gotten Tasha to a point that was really good, then I had a housemate move in. Before she moved in I explained that the dog is great, that she is very safe and friendly but tends to be pushy, and that she can't be spoiled in any way. Also that no one was ever to talk to or acknowledge the dog while she was in the crate.

When the housemate first moved in I went straight into serious pack structure. Crate, exercise, structured time in the house. I began teaching the dog not to go into her room. I swiftly corrected her for any attempts to control the new girl or claim her things.

Things were going good, then I relaxed a little. Then the housemate started to friendly up to the dog. Combined with us all being cooped up all winter, the dog is completely obnoxious and I feel like I have to start over on everything.

Even the crate training is shot to hell. At one point you could come in my house and not even know there was a dog here. Now she whines and barks in the crate all the time.

How far back do I need to go? Should I take her all the way back to the beginning of pack structure, then basic ob and so on like we have never done it before?

You can't forget the body language... it's a MUST. Forget marker training. And no prong collars for small dogs. Ever. Don't forget- no food either.
