I brought my dog into a local market last night. She behaved really nicely and I was proud, until I was paying at the register.
She maintained her sit, so I didn't even realize that she was up to anything, but while I was waiting for my change I glanced at her and realized she had jammed her nose *deeply* into the crotch of the guy standing next to me.
Luckily, he thought it was really funny.
I told her to leave it and she stopped.
I know she is just being a dog, but this is one part of teaching manners that I have had a hard time with. All of my dogs have done this from time to time, but never with the frequency and gusto of this dog.
If your dog was maintaining her sit and some idiot came close enough to her for her to nose his crotch, then you gotta question who exactly needs teaching about personal space!!!
