Hi
I am looking into some local trainer to help me have more fun with my boys. I just want to do some more stucrure activity with my boys and need some help.
I have found that seem to have been around any one know or heard of them?
Larry Liljedahl schutund trainer(he use force training but he is the most up front and flexible in training. He will use toys once the dog is solid in the basic stuff and the handle has a good control)
Nick Zevgolis (say he use mostly positive motivation, but will use a choke or e-collar. He will not give clear answer to my questions. He say he does not use toy or food for motivation that he is the motivation, when ask how he is evasive) http://www.familyk9.org/Family_K9/Welcome.html
Lisanne Major (agility)She won't take my boys untill they have a better off leash ob, she does not do the basic ob and recommend Larry Liljedahl
Rive sud schutzund (I am still waiting for them to get back to me) http://clubschutzhundrivesud.com/
These men are the head of the club: Sigi Klein, Bill Feeny, Jean-Paul Rousseau, Paul-Emile Desautels and Wolfgang Schutz
As far as Nick from Family K9 goes, he states on his website that:
"Family K9’s website was the first to offer videos of dogs in training - because Nick wants you to see firsthand what can be done for you and your dog."
Knowing how long that trainers have been posting videos of dog training, I'd ask him to back up that claim with facts.......but that's just me.

I know that everyone says the only thing two trainers will agree on is that a third trainer is all wrong, so this will not be universal, but for me, trainers who have not yet recognized the power of food and the power of markers (not the videos called that, necessarily, although the videos are beyond excellent) is kind of stuck in past decades.
JMHO! Again, I do realize this POV is not universal. But what a huge tool to toss aside ....
Ariane, while you are lining up outside training, which DVDs (if any) do you have? Are you using marker training?
I am using marker but most likely doing a million mistake but have improved from 10million mistake.
I have no DVD as I have to go thru wire transfer and my bank is a rip off on that. Any transaction cost 125$ for wire tranfer that kind of increase the cost of the dvd some bit

Really!? Then credit and debit cards won't do? I'm shocked at this.

No disbelief meant at all. I'm genuinely surprised.
