The coloration of those panda shepherds looks like a red flag. A very very LARGE flashy red flag with glitter and sequins and a big pulsing strobe light on it. Nothing good can come out of those markings. JMHO, the first thing that comes to mind is deafness, blindness, seizures.... just my instincts kicking in. I don't know a darn thing about the "breed" but I've seen a few solid colored dogs with those random white overlays that are just a bundle of mental and physical malfunctions.
I agree. One of the websites I looked at said that the color was attributed to a gene mutation. That to me screams the possibility of many other problems.

It's a pretty standard color set for bernese mt dogs. In all seriousness it's just another person breeding for color out of standard and calling it something special. There is a bundle of problems that come with that but imo it has nothing to do with what the color is and everything to do with selecting color before other traits.
