What can you not go through a day with? Why?
Clicker? Marker sized training treats? (be specific!) Leash? Collar? Crate? Ball? Backpack? What do you and your dog use SO often, life would not be the same without it?
It's hard for me to narrow it down to one item, but I think it'd have to be a ball. Probably the Orbee on a string, because I can both throw it, and tug with it. It gives Koenig much needed exercise, and can motivate him exceptionally well for OB work. Makes for a happier dog in the house. If he didn't get exercise, we'd all be miserable.

.... And I'm in love with my new Leerburg bait bag.
At the present time, with the pack I have now, I don't need crates, but they would be way up there otherwise.
My LB bait bag is probably #1 for me, at this point. A training vest would work, too, but the ease of that bait bag hanging by the door, with space for my keys and I.D. and poop baggies -- I never realized how much I would use it until I got it. I use it every single day.
Chuck-it's and crates are high up on my list too... I really couldn't decide which was better, orbee or chuck-it. Koenig forges too much when we heel with a chuck-it in hand though.
The first thing that came to my mind was the Chuck-It ball launcher. There are many days where I cannot get to the park or the training club, and the dogs are desperate for exercise. I have a fairly large yard, and 15 minutes or so of me flinging balls for them to chase usually leaves them with their tongues hanging happily out. There's no way I could throw a ball far enough to satisfy them without my Chuck-It.
Prong collars are also high on my list, though I've only got one dog that needs it now.
My two don't need crates anymore in the house, but for going to trials, I couldn't live without my soft-sided folding portable crates.

I have seen folks use that from a lawn chair. (Yes, folks on this very board! )
Crates! This is my first crate trained dog and I cannot even picture raising a Mal pup without crates.
Also training treats. I vary it, sometimes kibble, chicken, meatballs, etc. I never ever leave the house with my pup without having treats on me to reinforce good behaviour.
