Any boxer owners out there doing agility these days? I am thinking that will be my next breed if I can find a healthy athletic line ( with out aggression issues ). I have looked up some with there MACH3 and MACH4 but could not track down a breeder. I have had a couple of students that had boxers that did great but the people did not like the running and stop training.
I have been searching through old forum post but most links I have found are over 10 years old and don't work any more. Drive and a nice head ( with out a pushed up nose so the dog can breath and tolerate heat ) and a line that does not die at 6 from cancer is what I am looking for. I will be doing agility and obedience with the pup and may play with bit work but that would be icing on the cake. I did find a nice dog right off the bat Enzo vom Messingsberg, BH, SchH1, CGC, ZTP. I think I saw his pic in someone signature here. Anyway thank for the people who have PM me. I am still looking. Most of my searches have taken me to Germany. To far for me!
There is a woman, Kathy Huber-Markos I believe is her name, who trains boxers in SW Wisconsin for police work. I attended a class that she taught 12 yrs ago. She does not train publically any longer.
She has a great reputation around here and she is a very nice person, sincere, and had nice dogs in our class. I bet she would know where quality boxers can be found.
