So proud of Zuki...She passed the CGC today with flying colors! I would have had a video but there was no one to do the honers. I am thinking along the lines of rally next.
Hopefully it will take half the time to get Keiko to do CGC
I know *exactly* how proud you must be as Sasha and I just got her CGN a few weeks ago. We must think alike as I'm looking for a place to train for Rally now too. Good luck and keep us posted.
Sad thing is that I just got to know a nice trainer here in MI and now I am moving on.... I went to her classes to work Zuki with distraction and didn't really get to know the trainer till we had gone to 3 or so of the classes.
Yesterday after she passed Zuki and after the regular classes we stood outside and talked about training, titles, and all other dog related things. She than told me she had a whole bunch of rally equipment and that if we were going to be here longer I could have used it for training....
I also let her know about leerburg because she is training Basic OB and wants to learn more about dealing with aggressive dogs and so on. She is not a "professional"trainer but is doing classes though the school. Even if she wasn't a M.E trainer she is doing a whole lot of good.
I never knew there were so many REALLY ignorant people!
Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement... Hopefully we will get some other titles in the future! One question: Where could I get a list of things to achieve, for say, the 1st rally title? (like for CGC there are 10 parts to be passed)
Congratulations Elizabeth and Zuki!!! Keiko will benefit from all you've learned from Zuki so it probably will go faster but no guarantees . Too bad about having to move away from the trainer she sounds wonderful. This link might help you with some of your Rally questions. http://www.squidoo.com/rallyfordogs
Good luck and keep us posted.
