BTW, how much is the increase in cost for laser? Is it, say, double?
I thought it was very reasonably priced!
The actual castration was $100, plus some added costs for bloodwork, a pain med injection while there, a elizabethan collar, and tramadol for at home. Total cost was $206. Could have probably skipped the e-collar, but I wasn't sure if he would bug the incision. I don't think this price is bad considering the costs go up with the size of the dog and he is about 85 lbs now.
A friend who just had a regular neuter done, no bloodwork, paid $150 elsewhere.
I am happy to feel totally comfortable with my decision...he is my first dog I have raised as an adult on my own. (First that has been minimally vaccinated from the start, raw-fed from a puppy, and altered as an adult.)

Thanks for updating us, Melissa. I'm very glad to hear Vigo's surgery went well and he is home and comfortable.
Thank you, Cheri!
Worst part now will be keeping him calm and leash walking only in this frigid weather...I knew it would turn blustery and cold the moment I had to go out with him lol.
