1) Kari: To be able to make him understand that he can get food from me much easily than surfing the ground for crumbs.
2)Bommi: To place the puppy in good homes and get her to gain back some weight. Compete in class C4 Obedience and win (Which is not too difficult)
3) Helga: To stop being overly friendly with everyone. Compete in class C3 and win , which we will do this Jan 2012
4) Kaiser: Make him play the bloody tug with me. To make him gain some more weight. Compete in class C5 Obedience and win (Which will not be too easy as we have not been training as much as we should)
To teach the Pinker to gather the cattle.
Get a better "stay" and a 100% "here" with distraction.
Take my dog to town and have him act confident and focused on me vs. looking like a 25lb police dog ready to bite someone.....
To get the goofball in my signature pic to leave my damn cats alone. To also desensitize him to other dogs, just so he doesn't go ballistic excited when he sees them. After those two monumental issues are resolved, we can do something fun like tracking or obedience.
- SchH1, is our(Koenig's and mine) next large goal.
-I'd like to have a send out by the end of the month.
-Get our tracking sorted out. (which is happening!)
-Get a 'real' herding title. (above Herding instinct)
It'd also be nice if Koenig would leave my cat alone, but realistically, that'll never happen.
To get Echo to stop smelling like a skunk - don't ask.
Does anyone know that recipe off hand, would save me the search time. Soap and vinegar??
His coat is super thick right now too. Any hints for me to stay relatively odor free through the cleaning process.
1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Dawn Dish Soap
Rubber or latex gloves
Mix in an open container (bucket or bowl); it will be fizzy, a clue that you shouldn't try to mix it or store it in a bottle or other closed container.
Thoroughly wet your dog with warm water and then the solution while it is still bubbline. Knead it well into his coat, to chemically alter every bit of the thiols on his hair. Be careful to keep the formula out if the dog's eyes, nose and mouth; you can use a sponge to carefully wipe it onto his face. Let the solution stand for 10 minutes before rinsing. Follow the bath with a thorough rinse. Be sure to protect the eyes when rinsing the head.
