I could not imagine taking Tanka to a place like that and just turning him loose. ANd he loves other dogs. I remember when we got him, the breeder said stay away from dog parks. Aside from the obvious reasons, she said , "you have the rottweiler, it will always be his fault".
Wow, such ignorance is why I am paranoid walking my dog at a normal park or even down the street. Did you hear one of them trying to blame the other's dog for the fight? Stupid. And that fight was nothing compared to some. I love how nobody helped, nobody called their dogs until the end.
I've thought about volunteering and giving an after school doggie safety 101 class at the local high schools with my dog. I'd show them videos like this. I don't know if the school board will let me though...I'm thinking about it. People are just ignorant...but kids might be willing to learn...esp if you engage their interest...show them agility or how crazy (yet controlled) my dog plays tug.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
LOL probably, she knows about plumbing (your dog has nuts that's why). I can't stand those low rider jeans, I don't know how anybody wears them...poorly designed and fall off if you bend over.

Classic. "Stop!" That's going to do it! Thanks for reminding me why I cannot ever take Jethro to a dog park.
My trainer showed me how she tosses her leash in the dogs faces and that can work to distract them long enough to break their concentration on each other.
I have often thought about simply taking a run at the spot where their mouths are, and hitting them hard from the side, like a freight train coming through, and keeping on going, so they don't get a chance to get their mouths on me. I saw an old shepherdx use this technique on the field once, she would just come barreling through from the side to break up a dog fight. She must have weighed around 85 lb. and she hated dogs fighting. She was the peacekeeper on the field.
