Going with the subject line, I'm from New Orleans! Where should I begin...
I'll have the Gulf Shrimp Cocktail (these shrimp are fresh; never seen a freezer!). I'll follow that with the Seafood Gumbo, and for my main course, let's do the Blackened Redfish with Crabmeat Sauce. And for dessert, Chef Brennan's Bananas Foster.
I was actually going to make bananas foster for dessert, but sadly, we were out of vanilla ice cream. If I was home, I would have whipped out the KitchenAid and mixed up a batch.
I dunno...I'm thinking of some ground beef or lamb....with fresh garlic and cilantro mixed in....topped with jalepeno sauce, fried mushrooms (in the meat fat not oil), and guacamole....then some chopped spinach and tomatoes. Yummy.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
This post made me insanely jealous at 1:00am after I had skipped supper. I had dreams about homemade tomato sauce and pasta all night. On the plus side- hubby helped the kids make me breakfast in bed at 6:30 this morning. French toast with a side of ham. Yum!
There is something special about San Marzano tomatoes. I make a home made spaghetti sauce that is so good because of those tomatoes.
I have a serious craving now!

Mmmmmm. Sounds awesome.
For me, the "nothing better" meal would have to be eggs Benedict, followed by coffee ice cream. Please tell the warden that's what I want for my last meal.

Oh definitely Tracy, I love both, especially the coffee ice cream.
Make it Haagen Daz !! I never eat it though cause of the epic calories,
