I think I am a bit of a leash-a-holic. I have one dog but have purchased a lot of leashes. My favorites without question are the Leerburg 6 and 10 foot leather leashes. I really love them. I also have 3 Mendota leashes, 2 rope and one leather that I use sometimes. And I recently bought two of the "gripper" leashes, a 6 and 15 foot one. I like them a lot, too. Very light but great grip. I seem to rotate between which ones I use, but definitely use the Leeerburgs the most. Just curious what kind of leashes you guys are using, and if you have a lot of them?
Oh, I also have a 23 ft. flexi which I like when we are on a casual walk with no likely distractions (other dogs) a 20 foot Leerburg synthetic tracking line (love this one, too) and a 30ft mendota check cord. And a Mendota traffic lead.

The leash I use every day for training is a 6ft 1" wide Hamilton nylon leash. For walks, especially in high traffic areas, I have a Leerburg 6ft DD collar leash. It has two snaps; one for the primary collar (prong) and another for the DD backup collar. It also has a second loop halfway down for getting a closer grip on a reactive dog.
I have a 1" wide nylon tap that I use for specific behaviors. My long line is a 30ft 1/2" wide cotton web.
I have a multi-purpose police training leash that I never use.

A handmade 6 ft bridle leather leash that was a gift from my grandfather (I keep it in a box and only use it on occasion). A 6 foot leather leash from a local store. A 7 foot leather leash that I made from a scrap that I found (softest leather I've ever felt). A 16 foot flexi for potty breaks. A 5 foot rappelling rope leash from Ella's Lead. A basic 6 foot double ply nylon from some random big box pet store. A 6 foot pink single ply nylon that was found at a dog park years ago.
If you want to talk addictions, you should see my collar collection. I've got things from the regular nylon plastic snap buckle to hand tooled leather that cost $$$ from San Fransisco. All of my dogs have custom embroidered leather collars when they're old enough (finished growing). I'm also working with a collar maker for two that will play on a song by Flight of the Conchords.

One leash for each of my two dogs. They wear them when going to the vets and walking in the park other wise I don't use them.
My training has been all off lead for the most part. When we did Schutzhund there were times it was needed in beginning bite work and a 33ft tracking lead of course. In AKC OB it's for to and from the ring otherwise never once I get past the on lead stuff in the CD. That's a requirement.

Oh no.... I've got at least 3 of both 4' and 6' leashes, by RedLine K-9, in various widths. I use thick for IPO protection, and thin for OB. Lots of long lines- both synthetic, and nylon. Climbing rope leashes in every length possible from old 'retired' climbing rope. Lately, I seem to use a leather slip lead the most. Love it- So easy, and since Koenig does not wear a collar around the house it's super handy to go for a quick walk with.
Same as Samantha- while I have more leashes then I will ever have dogs, my collar collection is just INSANE. I bet i have 20, if you include FurSavers and Choke Chains!

Too many. I like to have matched sets for the two dogs, varying the weight of each leash per dog. Jethro gets the heavier, double sewn, Skipper gets the lighter, thinner version. I have a beautiful set of 6' leather Leerburg leashes but I stopped using them when I saw my neighbour's leather leash in two pieces as her dog reacted to a passing bicycle.
Right now I only take Jethro out on the halti head collar, so I like having a 1" nylon web 6' leash. I can use a lighter leash because I have more control. Skipper has a matching 3/4" nylon web. It is a very nice weight for him.
I have a 15' flexi, but I have never found a use for it.
I also have a couple of 30' leads, a 20' cotton for a drag line, and a 50' lightweight climbing rope I hope to use one day for training with Jethro.
Forgot to mention the two European style double sewn nylon with D rings. I like these for a quick walk with the dog in close, hands free. I also have a few different cloth slip leads, which I like for quick breaks outside when the dogs are collar free.
Oh yes, and the two 6' reflective leashes from our days on the island when there were no street lights so cars could see us in the dark.

I have a draw full of leads and collars from when they were all pups, but I only use 12" leads on my lot now, to leave the house, cross the road, then hit the fields!
