Lincoln's Bixby letter of course came into being during the Civil War that this holiday was created for/by/about. Today is also a day to remember The Constitution (what they have fought for) and what duty we have as citizens to protect this ourselves by staying informed (not by the media) and voting....all to ensure we still have something to fight for. THAT is the best way to honor all of these people who have died for our country. A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.

We were BBQ'ing, playing with puppies, all her other dogs and enjoying everyone's company. I thought that would not be possible without everything our service men and women have done for us. It was a great day.
