I am always working on timing and trying to remember to implement all the little things I have observed and analyzed and decided to tweak for our precision obedience and engagement.
I tend to slow down trying to remember all this stuff and then the sessions get too boring and I lose engagement. So yes, predictably the dog is fine, its the slow-witted human who takes too long to learn
oops John I am sorry, I put the wrong stuff on this thread.
What I AM working on:
Remembering the rally cards. Help!!!
Remaining calm when Terra barks and barks at every behavior she does!
Getting a lesson plan book and planning out my training for my dogs every two weeks.
Working on being in shape to keep up with my dogs training and their energy!
Taking a dog training course -working on my timing in clicker/marker training.
I think that is it. I just need work. My dogs have it together, I am just trying to keep up Ha!

Looking at jumps (not the object I want retrieved over them) when I send Ryuk over them....in hopes that will stop him jumping everything but the jumps (like innocent bystanders)
Timing and releasing rewards properly with Gambit when heeling around corners. He doesn't know how to turn right and stay with me and my crappy reward release doesn't help him....I know better than to reward in front, but so far my proper positioning of rewards has ended in us tripping over each other...

video'd myself the other day and realized how poor my footwork can be making it hard for the dogs to heel properly so working on that and as always timing it amazes how wrong I can get it sometimes.
