Similar to when I have bad allergies or a head cold and my nose is dry/raw. His energy, appetite and skin/coat all seem normal. He's been sneezing more often; we haven't had a problem like this in the past. Is this a take him to the vet kind of thing, or a watch and make sure it doesn't get worse kind of thing? Allergies amongst humans have been pretty bad over the last month or two in my area (I'm on claritin myself). Thanks for any help / info! -Carolyn

And there are no blisters? If recent, no blisters, etc., then do you have any Vitamin E capsules? (Not the bottle for topical skin applications, but the kind you swallow.) There are other methods, too, but you may have this one right in the house already.

I thought about the more serious possibilities and kind of narrowed down in my head to "recent and photo" --- except that one. Is he pawing at it, snorting, etc.? Is his nose leaking?

Getting him to hold still is... challenging. Recent as in developed sneezing/runny nose 1-1/2 months ago- it's gotten "crusty" within the last two-three weeks. I should have gotten on it sooner but it really seemed like allergies and that it would go away GSD- no blisters. I have to check the med. cabinet when I get home for the Vit E- can't remember if I have any left or not. eta: what do you mean by leaking? some snorting along with sneezing.
