I have mentioned before that Duke loves to chew up toys. Loves it. Keeps him busy when he's loose in the house and keeps him out of trouble. His favorites are stuffed animals though he'll settle for a dirty sock if he can't find one of his (or the kids') toys fast enough. I have found a number of decent chew toys for him, of course Kong and the everlasting treat ball are great but he can only have so much food, does anyone have experience with a softer toy that can keep a determined chewer at bay for more than a couple of weeks? He actually managed to crack a HARD plastic wiffle softball in half last weekend, that's a toy he's had access to since he was a pup and I considered pretty much indestructible until this point. Maybe I can wrap the goughnuts up in sheepskin?
But read each hover-description, because a few do say that they have more complex design that makes them less indestructible. (And of course, no toy is fully indestructible.)
Three rows down, that Tuff Ultimate 3-Way Ring is one I can attest to, because it's used pretty hard by three dogs here.
I've heard at club that the Mighty Animal Toys (next row down) are also very strong, but I don't have any myself.
He just recently started showing real interest in chewing rubber toys that don't have food in them, so that may be in our future He would most definitely LOVE that ring. Will see if I can find one locally, if not I'll be ordering one.
I bought one of those mega mighty tuffy toys. A dog chewed it apart in a day. I contacted the company and they sent a replacement thinking maybe the original was defective. He chewed that one in two days.
He's the only dog that was able to destroy it, but I don't waste money on them anymore. I have a few of their rings laying around because they were given to me. None of my dogs are interested in chewing them.
