I think part of what is happening is that the dog is jumping on and biting the owner (beginning of video), having the dog cross tied with two leashes is preventing him from jumping/ biting on the people working him. I don't speak this language so I can't say what they are asking the dog but to my eye it simply looks like they are trying for non reactive/ calmness. Jmho.
My animals are not "like" family, they ARE family.
I did not had time to watch it all but they are asking for sit, drop (when the dog take hold of a leash) and later on down.
The command is repeated over and over when the dog does not comply.
There is no commenting on what they are doing in the first half of the video.
If you want a specific part translated I can do it later as long as it is still French.
The dog has no respect for it's owner. It bites at owner in beginning more like a spoiled kid then real aggression. If it was true aggression the woman would probably have taken serious bites.
True aggression or created behavior? My "guess" is it's a created behavior because of lack of leadership by the owner.
The guys are showing the dog that it must obey their command and they are doing it in a relatively mild manner. No heavy handed corrections. More about control then correction.
I see a lot of stress in the dog and I suspect it would probably wig out if to much pressure is put on it.
Not marker training and relatively mild corrections.
My biggest concern is if these two guys are completely new to the dog. That will only add to it's stress but I don't believe the owner could handle it at this point in time.
Man that is tuff. What dogs go through at the hands of people/handlers/owners.
Maybe you could let the owner know about the stress signals dogs give off and ask her when training if the dog is doing any of these. That might help her to see that her dog is trying to tell her something. love sharon and her pups bindi cody terra
