I saw a bunch of New Orleans-Style Barbequed Shrimp on the current "Top Chef" installment, and I'm ready for a whole bunch of that!!
OF COURSE I loved this season of Top Chef! I didn't like the jerkweed from Galatoire's (the tall one with the curly hair who wasn't even from LA), but I thought it was unfair that he got booted for serving BBQ Redfish with the skin and scale side down. That is exactly the correct way to cook and serve the dish. Every cook in NOLA knows that, including Emeril.

I didn't know that! (I don't know a ton about NOLA cuisine, sad to say.)
I thought of you more than once while watching this season of TC!
I did think the two women would be the finalists .... Shirley and Nina. Never thought Nick would be in the final two!
One good thing about this season was that the final 7 or 8 were pretty even, despite Carlos being a little outgunned at times. He didn't quite have the experience that the best ones had but he killed them occasionally.
Broncos will win!!
Food will be lots of snacks, dips, chips, veggie plates, cookies, etc. Possible Subway sandwiches for the "meal". Wife, kids and grand kids will decide that when they all get here.
Folks not liking football, perhaps you need a modern TV. Never liked it much myself til I was caring for old Dad, bedridden, he bought a 52" hi-def. Now I'm gripped.
