i have a female gsd which is going to be bred few months later,i really dnt have any experiences on breeding dogs and in my locality dr s no anyone(vet)who i can call to come up nd help me on ds,i would like to know that if i buy d dvd(whelping puppies)from leerburg, will it help me to whelp my own dog??
If your female were to have problems (ie stuck puppy) how long would it take you to get her to an e-vet?
If you have FB there are MANY helpful breeder pages, where people can answer questions/give advice. Videos and books are also valuable resources (I have the Leerburg whelping puppy DVD and love it), as well as YouTube for viewing births.
All of the resources will help, but if you have no access to a vet or experienced breeder if there is an emergency, this would be something I would consider before choosing to breed my female.
You could send a private message to another Leerburg member, Ram, he has a huge long name which I can't possibly spell.
He lives in India and he's had at least 3 litters in the last year or so. He would be someone, at least in your country, who could give you advice. He has dobermans and a lovely type of Indian sight hound, the name I don't recall.

Best wishes
Think long and hard on this.
The only thing scarier then my midnight run to the vet with my girl moaning during a tropical storm (pre-hurricane, downed power lines and flooding) would of been if there was no vet to make the ride from hell to.
Emergencies are rare, but I can not imagine going into whelping without knowing that my vet was a phone call away and will open up his office for me.
I have not lost one of my girls but friends of mine have. And it has absolutely devastated them.
dts really hard wht u did,bt i think it will be harder to tk my female to d vet in emergenies bt i can ask him to advice me on phone, bcoz he lives lng way frm my locality
