I'm gonna make a fool out of myself and try to teach one of my dogs to hold a hot dog in his mouth without eating it.
The reward...why he gets to eat the hot dog of course.
Yrs ago when I belonged to North County Obedience Training Club we had a contest where the dogs had to retrieve a hot dog to hand without eating it.
I won with my Kerry Blue Rocky.
This will be the first time I've done anything so uselessly dumb with my dogs in yrs.
I am going to have Bak jump up on the mail box, (I will open the door as it's fragile) and take the mail in his mouth and bring it back to the house without eating it.
I going to have Kolt work/focus around food distractions. This is gonna be interesting as he dearly loves his food... But it's one of those life skills I want him to have so no time like the present to start!

Kasey says he wants to learn how to balance his favorite treat (fishgold crackers) on his nose, and not eat it until I say he can. Ya right... but I'm game.
