already started with focus, engagement & markers. He is a trip, playful and smart. I have been studying all the Leerburg videos I own for a while now. Should be a big difference in training from Tibby & Fritzi to this puppy Jake.
Although Tibby & Fritzi are pretty darn smart. https://youtu.be/BFWokNUSoDw
Has his own channel, plan on documenting as much as I can as he grows up. Dog Breed list
Thanks to Leerburg, Michael, Cindy, Forrest ... everybody!
Great work you folks do.
thanks guys n gals. Hey Bob lol, he is only 9 weeks. Right now it's just about the relationship. I do my "in place" and "release" markers around 12 weeks when he is a little more willing to stay put for 2 seconds. Right now were just playing, bonding and building the relationship. It was first thing in the morning he wasn't tired. They all need a little coaxing at that age.
I will try and put up new videos everyday.
I wanted to take the online course but money is tight right now.
I have some videos of my 2 5 year olds Tibby & Fritzi I'll post later.
hey Bob .... can you not read?
He wasn't tired.
I don't mean to be an 455 but ... but this ain't my first rodeo training dogs.
Do you have any videos of yours I'd like to see them.
I'm not gods gift to trainers but ... I think I have done pretty well. I'm not training for Mondio Ring.
I see your a moderator but I don't see you listed as one of the trainers, am I wrong?
This isn't the best but have a look and consider keeping your critique to a minimum, or well, not at all.
This isn't the I need help section of the forum, it's the post cool videos. When I need critique I will ask for it.
Otherwise your comments well ... they make people not want to be here. And seeing the recent flood of posts ... well you figure it out!
Dial it back Dennis. When I first came on this board Bob Scott was still "OldEarthDog" it was that long ago. He's demonstrated over and over that his opinions are to be respected. He's never made me want to stop posting although I'm sure he's given me a few hard "corrections" over the years.
If you post a video to a group of trainers you are going to get critique. Consider each piece of advice and if it doesn't fit you simply discard it. A few weeks ago I mentioned that my pup got distracted at a tracking box and then wandered off. Bob Scott encouraged me to always leave my pup wanting to continue tracking. I knew that already and my intention had been to pull pup from the box when she was actively involved in searching for food. He had no way of knowing that. I'm certainly not going to jump all over him and get pissed thinking that he thinks he knows more than me.
He's also right in this case. You can see where the pup starts to respond with less enthusiasm. You went too long. Sessions with my little AmBull pup are pretty much half or even a quarter of what I was able to accomplish with my cattle dog pup at the same age. It's frustrating when I'm trying to get things done but every pups attention span is different.
Dial it back? I didn't dial it up. seems like every time I come back here, it's the same old BS!
Like I said, going by the recent flood of posts on this forum <-- sarcasm ... you people would just say, hey nice job good lookin 9 week old puppy! Instead of nit picking everything someone does. what a bunch of 455h0l35!
