Well for me to tell you any kind of kibble is good would never happen. Have you considered a raw diet for your pup? There is a wealth of information on feeding raw on this site. I too use to feed what I thought was high quality GOOD kibble until my dog came down with allergies. The only options offered to me were steroids which I would never subject my dog too. I started the raw diet and I will never go back. He was just at the vet for his yearly check up and I was commended for having such a healthy dog and yes the vet told me to continue feeding raw. It's not hard to go this route it takes a little bit of for thought but once you get into the pattern it is just as easy as feeding kibble and much better for your dog. Check it out. Of course the decision is yours but as others will tell you it is the best choice for your dogs health <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
If you can't afford absolutely anything else, it is probably an okay deal. I was unimpressed with the ingredients. Supplement liberally with meat and veggies.
If you are on a tight budget and want to do right for your dog, either do raw (preferably, and most chicken parts are 30 to 40 cents a lb in a case) or call all of the area feed stores and ask what they carry and how much for a 40lb bag. I buy California Natural for $32 for a 40lb bag and it comes out cheaper because I have to feed so much less. I save about $30+ a bag over the Rx food the vet wanted me to feed, so if your dog isn't as sensitive then you could probably find an even better deal. My cat gets Chicken Soup for the cat lover's soul and does really well on it.
