I have heard so many different things. Some like their brands but then I have heard that others do not feed puppy food.
Here's my situation. I know that Malinois are slender dogs and by no means large compared to other dogs. But since they are not considered large breed no need to feed the large breed formula. But if you feed the regular puppy food then that'll cause them to stretch to quickly.
So what do you feed yours? I bought Iams from walmart and didn't like it as it seems both the dogs I had had allergies from it. ThenI heard that walmart Iams is different than the pets mart variety.
So today, I am going to try Diamond puppy food. I bought a 20lb bag and want to hear what you think of it? I have only heard of good things about it so I thought I might give it a try....
It is all a matter of opinion. Just get a good ALL NATURAL KIBBLE.
I have used Innova, California Natural, Solid Gold, and now Karma. I hadnt planned on switching from Solid Gold, but the place I buy vitamins and such just got it in and gave me a bag.

Wal-Mart's Iams is no different than Petsmart's Iams, Superpetz' Iams, or the grocery store's Iams. Iams is Iams.
Diamond is in the same category as Iams. It contains corn and other fillers, as well as by-products; and is just a cheap food.
Here's a list of acceptable kibble:
Wellness (made by Old Mother Hubbard)
Innova (made by Natura Pet Products)
California Natural (made by Natura Pet Products)
Healthwise (made by Natura Pet Products)
Karma (made by Natura Pet Products)
Solid Gold
Flint River Ranch
Three Dog Bakery
If you're on a tight budget, you can try Nutro Natural Choice (NOT Nutro Maxx) or Nature's Recipe. Stay away from Purina foods, Iams and Eukanuba, Science Diet, and any store brands.

My cat is on Chicken Soup. Auster used to get Avoderm sometimes too. I used to feed Nutro and Diamond, but saw a huge difference when I switched her to California Natural. It is worth the difference. I agree that raw is best, but will have to wait until my next dog and who knows when that will be.

diamond lamb and rice does not contain corn, wheat or by products. read the label. some of the other diamond products do contain corn, however the lamb and rice does not. i have one dog that absolutely cannot tolerate corn at all and it works well for her. (in addition to meat ofcourse.)
we quit feeding puppy formulas back in the early 80's. pups here get the same as adults: raw bones, meat, and diamond lamb and rice.

Raw is the best way to go, but Artimis is very good as well. I currently have my dogs on Chicken Soup For the dog Lovers Soul. I stopped feeding puppy food when I got my first GSD, Stubby. It makes them grow too fast.
Home of SAR dog:
Erk Vom Powell-Haus CGC, 3 year old male GSD
Bayani vom Wildhaus, 10 month old female,co-owned with her breeder
At the bridge, Ax CGC, male dalmatian http://www.geocities.com/lugnut514532000/index.html
I too feed Chicken Soup kibble when not feeding raw. But I have found a couple of other interesting kibbles worth mentioning. The only problem is that the price is up in the clouds.
