At what age do you take the dog off puppy food to adult food?
I am thinking of feeding a RAW diet. But my wife is having a fit about doing this. So I'm trying to get the right information together on this type of diet. But till then I need to know when to switch to adult food.
I have a 10mth old Rottweiler; she is on Diamond puppy food. I am trying to fine a place that sales a RAW feed for dogs. I saw where Natural Balance has one out in Ca only. Does anyone know of any others on the east coast? I live in NC.
Thanks for any help on this.

Pending how much the puppy weighs, I'd say 9 to a year. But at 10 month if the puppy is already 75-85lbs, I'd swicht now. A lot of people like huge dogs, the Rottie will get big enough without over feeding, I think their standard is males 90-120lbs and females 85-100lbs.
My neighbor has two Rotties huge I'd estimate 145-150lbs dogs but he doesn't exercises them much and they pant hard if they run up down the fence line.
My female is 90lbs she is very agile. She can climb a 10' ladder and jump in and out of the jeep window.
My vet and our local pet food guru both agreed that our Rott should stay on large breed puppy food untill he was 18 months old to help controll the amount of calcium he was getting. He is now 2 years old and weighs about 98 Lbs.
Thanks for the replies, Treasure is about 80lbs and is being trained for PP. So she is very active and I feed her twice a day. And the trainer I have does not like Rotts. But thinks Treasure is one of the best he has seen in years. She is going to weigh in at about 90-100lbs when she's done growing. I don't like fat Rotties; they look like they are suffering to me.
Thanks
