It is so devastating. I do hope so much that no one of our members lis affected directly or threatened. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone aned praying that this will not spread any longer, though the prevision is bad.

California in general has had a very bad year with wildfires.
Hope they get these new ones under control but the Santa Anna winds are playing hell with the fire fighters.

Such a destruction and so many evacuations. This must be extremely difficult if you additionally have to take animals with you. Or if someone has many he might have to leave them back.
I do hope Michael Ellis doesn't live in that region. I feel for everyone who is affected, but if one "knows" someone it is always worse.

This "angel for animals" can't be everywhere at all times, Unfortunately -- MANY horses have died in these HELLISH fires, while locked in their STALLS ... "Dobies and Little Paws Rescue", where we have adopted our 4 Dobermans over the years, have facilities in Fillmore & Ojai, and I have NOT heard anything back from them since MONDAY The media news is sketchy from those areas, and these fires paly "leap-frog" jumping around all over the place, but I am extremely WORRIED for them (with Scores & Scores of dogs in their care) !!!
PLEASE pray for Ardis, Colleen, and all the dogs, along with other Rescuers & Emergency personnel...

It is shocking that so many horses have been burned locked in. What a dreadful death. Really angels those people who try to rescue animals where they can.
I understand your big concerns, Candi, I'd be awfully worried too. Yes I'll pray with all my heart for them and hope you will soon get a message that they and their dogs are safe and well. I will of course donate within my limits and hope many other people will do this too. A heap of donations, if little or big will alltogether mean a great help.
It is an awful tragedy. Of course I do think also of all the rescuers and firefighters, who are assuming an unimaginable dangerous job and with what a stamina. I think also of other people and their animals and also of the wild animals who are stuck within those fires or already had to suffer such a terrible death. It is almost unbearable even only imagining all this. Such an immense suffering, pain, panic sorrows and for the survivers then a life with heartbreaking losses.

Finally heard again from my dear friends at Dobies & Little Paws Rescue:
They had been EVACUATED for a Full Week !!! Living in Vehicles with all kinds of volunteers they didn't even KNOW helping to take care of the DOGS -- Awful experience, just Awful ... But their facilities were NOT destroyed, and they are all Safely back HOME

Thank you, Christina & Bob !!!
Yes, they said the Dogs were very STRESSED -- We've all seen the Horrifying Videos on media venues I told them that the Canines would feel back to Normal much Sooner than the Humans, since animals are so much BETTER at "living in the moment" rather than dwelling on the PAST I do so Appreciate your PRAYERS and any Donations to their extremely Worthy rescue organization !!!

Were the dogs also evacuated? I have no idea how such things are organized. could they be together with their owners? I guess there were many people with pets and Iimagine that they can't all be together with so many unknown people and animals.
But you're right, Candi, I too think, that most dogs will overcome such stressful adventures easier than people. I myself would be afraid to go on living there as it can easily happen again. So let's hope the best.
